A Warm Welcome to London

On Saturday, November 12th, 2022, the new Society Leadership Team (SLT) was officially welcomed to London. Sisters from Unit Germany-UK, members of the outgoing SLT and the staff team from the Generalate gathered in Acton, London, to celebrate, together, the moving handover ceremony.

The new SLT members are: Sister Agnes Lanfermann, Society Coordinator; Sister Rowena Miranda; Sister Belaynesh Abera; and they left a space for the fourth member of the team, Sister Rowena Pineda, who is due to join them in London shortly.  Although not present on the day, Sister Rowena was included in everyone’s thoughts and prayers.

After an entertaining programme performed by Sisters from Germany, the joyful welcoming celebration ended with a shared meal. 

We thank the past SLT members for all that they have done, including leading the Society through the difficult days of the global pandemic.  Our very best wishes and prayers go with the new SLT, as they take on their new leadership roles for the future.
