Caring for those in Venezuela's earthquake zone
As described on our homepage, the children and volunteers at Latidos Fundacion in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, are working hard to help those people affected by the two devastating earthquakes that have struck their country.
You can see them using donated sewing machines to stitch sheets, blankets and essential items of clothing to send to the earthquake victims.
Sister Maigualide is spending her time moving between Barquisimeto and the earthquake zone, taking this desperately needed aid to those families affected or made homeless by the disaster. It is handmade with love.
Here, amidst the fallen buildings, misery and grief that the earthquakes have caused to so many people, she reports that the inter-congregational efforts are coming well.
Dear Sister Maigualide, we look forward to hearing more about what you are doing as soon as you can find a spare moment.
In the meantime, be well, stay safe! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
